Home Energy Event

Greystones Green Party Councillor Lourda Scott is to hold a public meeting on home energy in Greystones Tennis Club on April 16th 7.30pm. Cllr. Scott will be joined by Gavin Eaves of Churchfield Home Services, an expert in retrofitting and energy upgrades, along with representatives from Greystones Delgany Sustainable Energy Community and Greystones Credit Union. The aim of the meeting is to inform homeowners  about the various grant schemes on offer either for standalone jobs or full retrofit.

Speaking in advance of the meeting, Scott said, “We all want to live in well-insulated, warm and comfortable homes but I know from talking to people that many are unsure how to go about it. While the prospect of lower energy bills is very appealing, again people have questions about affordability and how to avail of the grants available. I decided that a meeting bringing different experts into a room to answer these questions would be really beneficial. I am especially pleased that people will have a chance to hear how Greystones Sustainable Energy Community have worked with local homeowners choosing to adopt renewable energy. I’m very much looking forward to hosting this meeting in Greystones and would ask anyone who’s interested in upgrading their home to come along and bring their questions.”
