Climate Actions Engagement Fund

Greystones Green Party Councillor and Clean Coasts North Wicklow Co ordinator Lourda Scott welcomed the announcement. "This  unique fund is to support groups to talk about climate actions they may be undertaking in our community. It is not for climate actions by themselves as there are many other funding streams available for those. Instead this funding is aimed at supporting communication and engagement needs of community groups and helping to share information about their climate actions throughout the community. In a very practical way  it can be used to pay for  flyers, posters, digital and social media etc. to help spread the word about what you’re doing and to recruit more members. Or help arrange a local meeting to talk about the climate actions your group is doing and encourage others to join.  I know first hand through my work with Clean Coasts how hard it can be to spread the word on the different activities that are being organised. With all the amazing environmental groups in the area, there is a lot of action going on and any initiative to bring people together and share ideas can only be good for people and the environment. I'd encourage any established group involved with environmental action to look into this and please contact me if I can be of any help with the application. "

The application process is straightforward with the deadline to apply is 4pm, Friday 4th October 2024.

A webinar will be hosted to go through the grant round and the application process in more detail at 11:00am, Friday September 6th. *
