E-scooters - Scott calls for lockers at Greystones station

With the upcoming  ban on bringing e scooters onto public transport, Greystones Councillor Lourda Scott has called for the introduction of bike lockers at Greystones DART station. Scott spoke on the matter following the tabling of a motion at this month's Greystones District meeting. " The population of Greystones has expanded massively over recent years, however we are very much a commuter town with most people travelling to work outside the area. With more and more people using  e scooters and e bikes to connect with the DART in particular, we really need a safe secure place where people can secure these expensive items a s they continue their commute to work. This is particularly urgent with the up coming bac on taking  e scooters on public transport for safety reasons. which are expensive. I have asked the Council to work towards fixing this and they have agreed to write to Irish Rail as the first step. I will follow up to get this in place as the more options that are avalable to people, the easier it is to leave the car at home"
