Lourda Gets Ocean Hero Clean Coasts nomination

Volunteering to pick up after others takes a certain kind of character, and it’s this very strength that has seen Greystones’ Clean Coasts leader Cllr Lourda Scott being nominated for an Ocean Hero Award today.

“I am absolutely delighted to be nominated for this award,” Cllr Scott told the Greystones Guide. “The real heroes, however, are the dedicated individuals and families who join our group every month to litter pick.

“Their efforts help to keep the beauty of our coastlines and protect marine life. I am passionate about doing whatever I can to on a practical level to mind our sea and it’s brilliant to see how a group like Clean Coasts North Wicklow can bring people together who want to do the same.”
